Cornwall’s Pub is open for Take-Out only Wednesday – Saturday during the lockdown.
We understand that there may be concerns regarding COVID-19 and want to assure you of our continued commitment to the safety, health and well-being of our guests, staff members and community.
We are following all guidelines set out by Provincial and Community Health Authorities regarding COVID-19. We are governed and inspected by these agencies on a regular basis to maintain our compliance and our excellent safety and sanitation track record.
The Boathouse Country Inn and Cornwall’s Pub maintains a rigorous process of cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing our guest rooms, restaurants and public areas.
The safety of our staff, all our guests and community are our top priority. You will notice the following enhanced infection prevention and new controls in place as our region moved into Yellow-Protect as of December 14, 2020. This report will be updated as needed.
Cornwall’s Pub
- Staff and guest screening
- Reduced guest capacity to limit of 50 people inside the restaurant
- Patrons are required to be seated; 2 metre minimum between tables
- Limit of 6 people may be seated together
- We require patron contact information for all seated patrons. Contact information for all patrons is collected and kept for one month, to be disclosed only to a medical officer of health when required for contact tracing.
- No buffet style service
- Line-ups and patrons congregating outside must keep 2 metres distance and face covering required
- Face coverings required except when eating or drinking only
- Our staff is required to wear Personal protective equipment, including eye protection, required when a worker must come within 2 metres of another person who is not wearing a face covering
- Reduced hours of opening and closing
- We have increased the frequency and focus of our cleaning procedures, with focus on high touch areas like handrails, doorknobs and all public surfaces
- Frequent hand washing and thorough disinfection of food preparation surfaces before and after service
- Hand sanitizer stations at key traffic areas and entrances
Boathouse Country Inn
- Staff and guest screening
- Face masks are required in all indoor public spaces. Please be prepared to wear a face mask at any public indoor space at the inn including check-in and check-out
- We require all guests and staff to practice social distancing at all times during your stay
- Frequent disinfecting of all high touch areas
- Hand sanitizer stations at key traffic areas and entrances
- No housekeeping service in guest rooms during stay, clean towels provided as needed
- Curbside Menu take out (guests and public) available onsite
- Restaurant inside seating, face coverings are required except for eating and drinking only
- Safety seals on all doors once the rooms have been cleaned and sanitized

Personal and public health measures — such as physical distancing, staying home when ill even with mild symptoms, frequent handwashing and surface cleaning — have significant benefits and have been proven to limit COVID-19 transmission.
